CALIFORNIA BUSINESS MINUTE Best Practice, Santa Cruz 12-04-08
Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
NextSpace Working + Innovation officially launched its company by opening the doors to a co working space with over 10,000 square feet of office, workstation and cafe facilities in Santa Cruz. Additional service offerings include NextSpace membership in a community of new economy companies and thought leaders, as well as business formation consulting and capital investment.
NextSpace is optimized for entrepreneurs, innovators, designers, developers, strategists, mentors and investors of early stage companies who see value in partnering or proximity to others in a professional and creative setting. Designed for business owners, freelancers and remote workers, NextSpace is offering the country's largest co working space to locals and commuters alike.
Santa Cruz Mayor Ryan Coonerty, former Economic Development Manager Jeremy Neuner, and attorney Caleb Baskin founded NextSpace in response to growing interest from early stage companies and business leaders.
According to Jeremy Neuner, president of NextSpace, "We are creating a community of innovators and providing them the tools they need to make their ideas fly. We catalyze local talent, local ideas, and local capital to create products, services, and solutions for the global marketplace." Cafe, carrel and office memberships range from drop-in use of cafe space and WiFi, work station, or private offices -- each level including full co working benefits that include access to phone rooms, project rooms, conference space, and office services. Pricing ranges from $175 per month to $1500 for the corner office.
I am Tim Johnson and this has been the California Business Minute.
