Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
CNN/Money released their list of the Best Counties with the Best Job Growth
in the Nation.
Those listed within the top ten are typically small rural communities or
ex-burbs that have both seen some growth that because of their size, any
small increase due to an opening of a ‘Big Box’ store(s) has caused significant
increase. So while the growth sounds significant, it really is a percentage
versus aggregate numbers game.
But if you like small communities and you don’t mind having a job where you say-
“Would you like fries with that?” than these counties may be for you.
1. Pinal County, Arizona
2. Rockwell County, Texas, a spill over from Dallas
3. Kendall County, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago
4. Loudoun, County, Virginia, outside of Washington DC
5. Douglas County, Colorado, midway between Denver and Colorado Springs
6. Fort Bend County, Texas, outside of Houston
7. Henry County, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta
8. Lake County, Florida
9. Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, outside of Anchorage
10. Union City, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte
