Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
Forbes.com has released yet another ranking, this time on America’s ‘Top 25 Best Towns to Live Well.’
The data comes from ZoomProspector.com, a San Francisco-based consulting firm specializing in corporate relocation. It evaluated areas of the country with less than 100,000 people. Characteristics like the number of museums, parks, bars and restaurants and cultural institutions per capita were considered, as were factors indicative of a favorable business environment such as patents, venture capital funding, sole-proprietorships, start-ups and small businesses per capita.
California ranks the highest state with 9 communities on the list followed by Maryland with 6 and Florida with 3. Illustrating that the Golden State is a place where people want to live and why more people want to live here.
