CALIFORNIA BUSINESS MINUTE Best for Small Business 02-19-09
Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
The BizJournals released their annual rakings of the Best Places to Start a Small Business in the Nation.
Last year, cities from Florida ruled the the rankings, but only Orlando is in the top ten and Miami is #11 for 2009.
This year, North Carolina controls the top two positions. Raleigh is ranked number one, followed by Charlotte, Seattle, Austin, Boise, Salt Lake, Orlando, Oklahoma City, Denver and Portland, Maine.
Unfortunately for California, no city from the state is in the Top 10, let alone the Top 20 and none appear until #47. Below are the rankings of the California cities:
#47 San Diego #48 San Francisco-Oakland #50 San Jose #64 Los Angeles #78 Sacramento #85 Stockton #88 Fresno #91 Oxnard/Thousand Oaks #95 Riverside-San Bernardino #98 Modesto
I am Tim Johnson and this has been the California Business Minute.
