Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
Forbes.com has another ranking on America’s Safest Cities, however with just a little different twist. These metro areas have the lowest crime rates, work place deaths, fatal crashes and least amount of natural disasters.
Only San Jose, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara made the top ten.
1. Minneapolis-St. Paul MN 2. Milwaukee –Waukesha, WI 3. Portland, OR-Vancouver, WA 4. Boston, MA-Cambridge, NH 4. Seattle-Tacoma, WA 6. Providence, RI-New Bedford, MA 7. San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara 8. NY, Long Island, North New Jersey 9. Cincinnati, OH – Middleton KY, IN 10. Cleveland, OH 10. Denver, OH
San Diego was ranked 13th, LA-Long Beach-Santa Ana was 19th, Sacramento-Roseville Was ranked 24th, San Francisco-Oakland was 25th, and Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario was ranked 32nd.
Of interest, none of the cities that are typically ranked in the top Ten Best Places for Business were ranked high, such as Austin, TX; Raleigh, NC; and Oklahoma City, OK.
I am Tim Johnson and this has been the California Business Minute.
