Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
Forbes released their annual ranking of the “richest people in America’ for 2010.
The list has been published for nearly 30 years and of interest this year is that the youngest and oldest billionaires in the nation are from California. Mark Zuckerberg #35 and Dustin Muskovitz, #290 both of Facebook are both 26 years of age while Kirk Kerkorian#119 and John Anderson #153 are both 93.
Out of the list of 400, over 20 percent are from California the largest number from any state. California is followed by New York, Texas, Florida and Illinois. Larry Ellison of Oracle is the 3rd wealthiest in the nation and richest in California.
