CALIFORNIA BUSINESS MINUTE Most Socially Networked Cities 04-04-11
Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
San Francisco is the nation's sixth "Most Socially Networked City," according to a new top 100 list compiled by Men's Health. The rankings reflected such factors as the number of Facebook and LinkedIn users per capita, overall Twitter usage and traffic generated by the major social networks, including MySpace, Friendster, Reddit and Digg. The publication then factored in the percentage of households that visit rooms and blogs to compile the final results. Washington, DC, which the magazine called "a city where staying connected can get out the vote," topped the list, with Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis and Seattle rounding out the top five. El Paso, Texas checked in as the least socially networked city. The complete list is available at the link below.
