CALIFORNIA BUSINESS MINUTE Most Dangerous Cities for Driving 05-27-10
Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute
If California is not on this list with over 15 percent of the nation’s drivers it is simply amazing. But apparently that is the case. According to a recent analysis by Insurance.com, no California cities are on their Top Ten Most Dangerous Cities for Driving. In fact, no California city is even in the top 20.
However, Baltimore, Maryland is ranked number one based upon the percentage of drivers reporting accidents.
1. Baltimore, MD 2. Johnstown, PA 3. Portland, MA 4. Des Moines, IA 5. Erie, PA 6. Bangor MA 7. Birmingham, AL 8. Austin, TX 9. Manchester, NH 10. Lincoln, NB
For the most accurate data, insurance.com’s study chose to review designated market areas that requested 500 quotes or more over a six-month period. The study did not include Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts or New York, since the site presently does not offer comparison quotes for those states.
I am Tim Johnson and this has been the California Business Minute.
