CALIFORNIA BUSINESS MINUTE Most Miserable 02-07-11
Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
Stockton returns to the top of the annual Forbes.com ranking of the “Most Miserable Cities” in the nation. California, unfortunately owns this year’s list with the highest number of cities. This year, 11 cities return to the list from last year, 3 of those cities are from the Golden State – Stockton, Modesto and Sacramento. Additionally, this year 9 new cities make this year’s list with 5 cities from California.
The measure of misery takes into account, unemployment, crime, taxes, weather commute time, foreclosure rates and change in home prices over the past three years and local sports teams performance.
